I need help with a book!?

It is this vampire book I read probably back in 1996 or 97. I checked it out at the library, but for the life of me, I do not remember the name or author but this book has stayed with me all these years. I want to say it is a romance novel for adults. The main character is a vampire woman who falls in love with this guy and she enrolls in his high school. It is not any of the Last Vampire books. I want to say her name is Arina or something. She was made by Vlad the Impaler. On the cover she is standing with the guy she likes and is wearing a corset dress or something. She has long curly black hair. Now I may have some of this wrong, it has been so long, but this is what I remember. I also know the guy that she falls in love with, his jealous girlfriend is also turned into a vampire. If anyone can figure this out, I will be forever greatful. I am sure it belongs in the romance section. This book was so good. Does anyone know this book and can help me out?
