An interesting War Verteran?

In my speech class we have to do a speech on a war veteran, even dating back to the beginning of times to people that are still alive. I want to do someone inbteresting, but not a common person like John Bassalone, or Bob Lacky. We can't do Hitler or Chuck Norris or Jesus. Do you know of anyone interesting that my class and my teacher, might enjoy hearing about? They could even be evil like Vlad the Impaler.
